Mr. Clarence Timothy Green (Kojak), 66, of 66 Red Hawk Road, Dendron, was called home to dwell with the Saints in Heaven. He was born on Oct. 16, 1943, to the late John Berkley Green and Rebecca Bailey of Surry.
Timothy was educated in the Surry County Public School System (L.P.J.). He spent two years in the Job Corps Training Program in Colorado. He retired from Sewers Lumber and Millwork in Richmond. He enjoyed the senior citizen programs at the Surry Community Center. He loved to socialize and reach out to people.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Dorethea Berryman; and leaves to cherish his memories, three brothers, Samuel B. Green (Ann) of Petersburg, John Willis Green (Gloria) of Gaithersburg, Md., Joseph B. Green (Sue) of Silver Spring, Md.; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Lee Berryman of Waverly and James Anderson of Philadelphia; three stepbrothers, Thomas Council of Philadelphia,Theodore Council of California and Ernest Hardy of Smithfield; four stepsisters, Patty White and Sarah Jones of Hampton, and Louvenia Floyd and Carrie Swann of Surry; devoted cousins, Laurel Dickerson of Colonial Heights, Bob Bailey (Clarine) and Mary Stringfield (Clarence) of Surry, Diane Bailey of Richmond, who he called his little sister, and Leslie Bailey of Hampton; devoted nieces and nephews, Sean Green (Tiffany), Tony Lane, Phyllis Fowlkes (Keith), Dorethea Lott (Billy), Samuel Lane Sr. (Brenda), Gloria J. Wilson (Walter), Kecia Maynard (AJ), Pam Green and Yu'londa Johnson (Bryan); 25 great-nieces and nephews, Naomi, Ariel, Patric, Natasha (Rick), Guyana, John Sr. (Tressie), Billy Jr., Terita, Glen, Sierra (Robert), Samantha, DeAndre, Samuel Jr., Eric, Ericka, Roneisha, Destany, Harrison, Arturo, Khalil, Keanu, Bryanna, Bryan Jr., Destiney and Diamond; nine great-great-nieces and nephews, Tarik, John Jr., Cam'Ron, Aprecia, Johnay, TreJohn, Jai'Den, Eugene, Patric Jr.; and a goddaughter, Doris Taylor; a host of cousins other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, in the Chapel of J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 219 N. County Drive, Waverly, (804) 834-3330. The Rev. Douglas Charity will officiate and the Rev. Lewis Allen will eulogize. Interment will follow in Swann's Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will assemble at 29252 Bishop Court, Waverly, at noon the day of the service. The remains will lie in repose at 11 a.m. in the Chapel.
