Corelean Walker Obituary
Corelean was a dedicated member of Olive Branch Baptist Church in Dinwiddie. She was educated in the Dinwiddie Public School System and continued her education by pursuing an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in Business Administration through Elyria Community College, Elyria, Ohio.
Corelean was a very business-minded and professional woman who loved flowers and ran her own floral business in Dinwiddie County for many years. She was a dedicated employee at Wal-Mart for 11 years as a people greeter. Those who knew her can confidently say that she was a loving, caring, giving, and cheerful person.
Corelean was predeceased by her husband, Charlie T. Walker; daughter, Leana R. Tucker; sister, Dolly Goodwyn Jordan; brothers, Thomas Jr., Wardie, and Berryman Scott, and Calvin Goodwyn.
Corelean leaves to cherish many memories of her a sister, the Rev. Dr. Etheleen G. Blanding and husband the Rev. Dennis L. Blanding Jr.; brother, Daniel Merle Goodwyn; an aunt, Lucy Lewis; step-daughters, Patricia A. Walker, Cherie L. Hunt (Wayne), and Wilma T. Walker; five grandchildren, Davlle D. Tucker, Angelina N. Hunt, Kimberlee N. Hunt, Dantae A. Hunt and Tia C. Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Olive Branch Baptist Church, Dinwiddie with the pastor, the Rev. Kevin N. Northam, officiating. Interment will take place at Dinwiddie Memorial Park Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, from noon to 8 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel and the family will also receive family and friends at the Petersburg Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

I just saw Corelean @ Wooden Spoon and she was in a great mood. We laughed and joked before we parted ways. She was a very nice person and I considered her family. Our prayers are with you all as you continue on in life.
