Curtis Saunders Obituary

Curtis Lee Saunders III, 58, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, Richmond.

Mr. Saunders, originally of North Carolina, was the son of the late Curtis Lee Jr. and Marianne Lawrence Saunders. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and had been employed as a restaurant manager.

He is survived by a son, Shaun R. Saunders of Bellingham, Wash.; a brother, David V. Saunders of Seaford, Del.; two sisters, Patricia S. Reynolds, Teresa Vinson and husband Kenneth all of Chester; former spouse, Jeannou Saunders of Bellingham, Wash.; a niece and two nephews.

Interment will be private. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.

We were friends growing up in the "Heights." Curtis blazed his own trail and was truly one of a kind. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.
