Mr. David Bradshaw passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at his residence in Petersburg, Va.

He was born in Dinwiddie County on Dec. 21, 1945, to the late Stanley A. Bradshaw and the late Addie Foster Bradshaw. He was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister and one nephew. He moved to Petersburg and made it his home until his passing. He was a retired employee from Arbortech.

He leaves to cherish his memories, four devoted sisters, Sadie Goodson of Nottaway County, Bertie Carrington of Petersburg, Lily Carrington of Baltimore and Ella Stith of Petersburg; four brothers, Stanley Bradshaw of Richmond, Charles Bradshaw of Matoaca, Willis (Shelma) Bradshaw, and John Bradshaw of Petersburg; three sisters-in law; and four brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, to include all of Farmer Street family, and his nephew who was there in the last days, Vincent Bradshaw.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at the Big Bethel Baptist Church Burial Park, McKenney, with the Rev. A.L. Williams officiating. The family may be contacted by calling (Ella) 804-312-4984 or (Bertie) 804-712-4848.
