David Frenzley Obituary

Mr. David Lee Frenzley (Supa Dave), of 762 Kirkham St., Petersburg, Va., departed this life suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 11, 1965, in Richmond, Va., to Leroy Carter and Georgia Jean Frenzley. He was employed at Virginia State University (Jones Dining Hall) and Pre-Con.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Colbert and Mary E. Frenzley; two aunts, Mary Alston and Doris Marie Frenzley; and uncle, Thomas Frenzley.

He leaves to treasure his memories: one devoted daughter, Brittany Branch, and one granddaughter, Kelaijah Delk, both of Petersburg, Va.; one stepson, Yohance Allen; one stepdaughter, Latteefah Allen; loving mother, Georgia Jean Frenzley; father, Leroy Carter; two sisters, Katrina Rives of Petersburg, Va., and Toni McCray of Hopewell, Va.; one brother, John "Mickey" Frenzley of Petersburg, Va.; a devoted fiancée, Carolyn Davis; 12 aunts, Winnie Rives, Rosa Wyatt (Levi), Helen Bowles (Edward), Barbara Johnson (Langston), Thelma Jones (Melvin), all of Petersburg, Va., Betty Keaton (James), Brenda Edmonds (John), Harriett Goodson (Claude), Linda Hawkins (John), Yvonne Miller, Bernice Newby (Thomas), Ester Howard (Tom); three uncles, Colbert Frenzley, Benjamin Frenzley and Thomas Newby, all of Petersburg, Va.; one niece; two nephews; one great-nephew, four great-nieces, 53 cousins, among them six devoted, Veronica Brooks, Richard Frenzley, James Frenzley, Roger Rives, Ronnie Rives and Thomas Anderson; a host of friends, among them three devoted, Neil Roney, Diane Branch and Chuckie Mitchell.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at the chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va., the Rev. Dr. Herbert W. Anderson, pastor of Sharon Baptist Church, Petersburg, Va., officiating. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.

A candlelight vigil will be held 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at 762 Kirkham Street, Petersburg, Va.

The family will receive friends at 3 Stately Court, Apartment C, Petersburg, Va., and may be contacted by calling (804) 479-8356.
