On Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, Ms. Deashall Delores Tate, affectionately known as "Dee Dee," was called by the Lord to enter eternal rest. She was born April 16, 1972, to Bonny Drew and James Cooke Sr.

Dee Dee was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Eloise Redd, and her aunts, Martha Sydnor and Hattie Richardson.

Dee Dee loved to listen to music, dance and she always enjoyed engaging in good conversation with everyone she met and knew. Dee Dee also loved to write poetry.

She attended Petersburg High School. Dee Dee leaves behind a host of devoted friends, among them: Stephanie Wheeler, Carmissono White and Elizabeth Campbell; two goddaughters, Keosha Woodson and Asharma Rives; a godson, Mortaze Carson; one godsister, Sharon Branch; one godbrother, Darryl Pride; and a host of devoted cousins, namely Paula, Jarrell, Jackie, Johnny and Jocelyn Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, three devoted children, Soliel, Dranzell and Frevquill Cooke; mother, Bonny Drew; father, James Cooke Sr.; a sister, Christina Cooke; a brother, James Cooke Jr.; one niece, Chaque Cooke; one nephew, Cavonte Cooke; an uncle, Cleve Drew; a devoted friend, Sandra Johnson; and a host of other devoted family and friends.

Dee Dee wouldn't want us to be saddened by her departure but she would want us to rejoice, celebrate and remember the life she lived and the good times that were had.
