On Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, God called home one of his angels, Mr. Devon Jamar Pulley, of 1020 Eighth St., Petersburg. He began his education in the Petersburg Public School System and was a 2005 graduate of Dinwiddie High School. Devon also was a 2010 graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelor of Science in sports management.

Devon was an avid sports fan, he participated in football, basketball, and track beyond his school years. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Devon was initiated into the Knights of Pythagoras-Hobson Lodge, Richmond; he was also a member of the Men of Honor Fraternity, and So Heated Record Company. Devon was employed at FedEx in Chester.

Devon touched everyone he met in a special way He claimed everyone to be his cousins whether related to him or not. Devon will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by: his grandfather, James Bloomfield; stepgrandmother, Louise Harvell; and an adopted sister, Chanelle Massenburg.

Devon is survived by: his mother, Clarice Pulley of Petersburg, and father, Walter Watts of Harrisonburg; maternal grandmother, "NANA, Helen Bloomfield of North Chesterfield; maternal grandfather, Clarence Harvell of Carson; paternal grandmother, Ethel L. Watts.

Devon is also survived by: his adopted family, aunt, Tchernavin Prothro and uncle, Sylvester of Sutherland; big brother, Khalee; fiancé, Krystle Granderson; aunts, Joy Thorpe (Shannon) of Carson, Jewel Kendred of Chesterfield, and Barbara Fisher (Arthur) of Petersburg; uncle, Jerome Watts of Petersburg; adopted aunts, Michelle Lewis, Andrea Lundy, and Doreen Lundy, all of Petersburg; godchildren, Khanae Prothro, and Star Gholson; additional family; and friends whom are devoted, Kayasha "Poo" Lewis, Christopher Jiggetts, Carlos Briggs, Terrell Lundy,Allen Gray, and Brenton Gholson; and the MGE Records Company family; and a host of other relatives; and friends too numerous to name.

Services for Mr. Devon Pulley will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 2223 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, the Rev. Jeffrey L. Reaves Sr., pastor, and the Rev. D. Tyrone Brandon, pastor of Little Zion Baptist Church, Carson, eulogist. Interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
