Earline Rackley Obituary

Mrs. Earline Jane Taylor Rackley, 77, of Colonial Heights, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Danville, Va. Mrs. Rackley was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lena Taylor Comas. Surviving are her husband, Ronald Rackley of Colonial Heights; three daughters, Rebecca J. Loving of Chesterfield, Shelia F. Massengale of Cleveland, Tenn., and Charlene M. Rackley of Chesterfield; five sons, James R. Hios Jr. of New Kent, Ervin N. Hios of Hopewell, Joseph M. Hios of Richmond, Timothy M. Shoda of Atlanta, Ga., and Ronald Rackley of Colonial Heights; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gene C. Canter of Colonial Heights, twin brothers, William E. Canter of Bluefield, W.Va., and Ervin W. Canter of New Castle, Del.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Hayes, pastor of Worship and Praise Center, officiating. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chesterfield County. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com.
