Mr. Eddie Taylor, 86, formerly of 16 S. Burch St. Blandford, departed this life on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Holbert Top Care, Richmond.

He was born May 12, 1927, to his parents, Harold Taylor and Molly Savage Taylor. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Clara Mae Taylor as well as his parents. Eddie was a World War II veteran and retired from the Defense General Supply of Richmond (Bellwood) after many years of faithful service.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Eddie Taylor Jr. (Shirley) of Charlotte, N.C., and Donnell Taylor of Waverly; three daughters, Wendy Evans of South Chesterfield, Sylvia Martin of Atlanta, and Barbara Harrell of Petersburg; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of cousins; other relatives; and friends, amongst the cousins, devoted, Dorothy Ross of Richmond; special friend, Maude Reid of Petersburg, and devoted friend, Dorothy Lee Noise.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the chapel of William N. Bland & Son Funeral Home, 137 Harrison St., Petersburg, the Rev. Jeffrey L. Reaves Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park Cemetery.
