Edna Kurnas Obituary

Edna Frances Kurnas, 81, of Prince George, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, in Colonial Heights Healthcare.

She was born in Davidson, N.C. Mrs. Kurnas was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margaret Rummel Eggleston, and her husband, Louis Emil Kurnas. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxillary, Post 637.

Surviving are two daughters, Darlene C. Novak and her husband, Werner, and Robin J. Redmond, all of Prince George; two sons, Larry J. Eggleston and wife, Linda, of Goochland, and Terry L. Kurnas and wife, Wendy, of Williamsburg; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Barrick of New Cumberland, Pa., Shirley Flickinger of Pacola, Okla., Doris Kuhn of Gardner, Pa., and Jean Livingston of York, Pa.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in Appomattox Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Rodriguez, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or your favorite charity. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com.
