Elisabeth Frida Kuykendall, 85, of Prince George, passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Sgt. First Class William B. Kuykendall; parents, Karl and Theresia Gosch Bechle; sister, Annamarie Bechle; sisters-in-law, Margie Lyda, Ursula Bechle; brother-in-law, Karlfried Schmitt. Elisabeth was born in Neckarsulm, Germany, in 1928.
Elisabeth did engineering work when she was younger until meeting a WWII veteran, getting married, coming to the states where she became a United State citizen and went to work in civil service for the U.S. government.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, her deep catholic faith, traveling to old historic sites, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Lastovica and her husband David, Margie Lastovica and her husband John; sons, Michael Kuykendall and his, Sun, Harold Kuykendall and his fiancé, Jacqueline; grandchildren, Harold Michael Kuykendall, John Karl Kuykendall and his wife Leslei, John David Lastovica, Lori Elizabeth Lastovica, David John Lastovica, Wesley Glenn Kuykendall; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Landon Kuykendall; brother, Karl Bechle; sister, Johanna Schmitt; nieces, Silke, Stephanie, Barbara, Christa.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A service is to be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
