Elizabeth Gleason Obituary

Elizabeth Bishop Gleason, 90, of Hopewell, Va., died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in John Randolph Medical Center.

Mrs. Gleason was born in Radford, Va., and had been a longtime resident of Hopewell. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Adah Chapter #7. Mrs. Gleason is the daughter of the late Arnold and Nell Hancock Bishop and the widow of Robert Linwood Gleason

She is survived by two daughters, Linda G. Stratton and her husband James of Sutherland, Va., Donna G. Wells and her husband Jeff of Gloucester, Va., two grandchildren, Matthew Wells of New York City, N.Y., Sarah Wells of Richmond, Va., several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Appomattox Cemetery. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com.
