Eva Worley Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Richard and Louise Smith Mitchell, and the widow of John J. Worley. Mrs. Worley was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Mitchell, and a sister, Elizabeth Barbour. She was a former member of Fairmount Christian Church, Richmond, and a member Colonial Christian Church, Colonial Heights. She worked for American Tobacco Co. for 40 years as an operator.
She is survived by a son, Edward M. "Bill" Wilson and wife, Becky, of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, David Wilson of Charlotte, N.C., Melanie Lee and husband, Mark, of Chesterfield, and Marilyne Wilson of Colonial Heights; great-grandchildren, Kanyon, Tyler and Taylor Lee; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, in Colonial Christian Church, 295 Dunlop Farms Blvd., Colonial Heights, VA 23834, with the Rev. Dr. Mike Curry officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, VA 23222. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, and one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday at the church. A special thanks to the staff of RiverView on the Appomattox, and to her special friend, Ida Bowles. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to Colonial Christian Church.
