Ms. Gloria Yvonne Ruffin, of 616 Magnolia Farms Drive, Petersburg, Va., departed this life on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at her residence.

She was a native of Petersburg, Va., and the daughter of the late James and Constance Walker Ruffin. She was a graduate of Petersburg High School, Class of 1975. She was employed as a home health aide for various companies throughout the Tri-City area. She attended Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Petersburg, Va.

She leaves to cherish her memory, companion, Linwood G. Wilson of the home; daughter, Tomeka Ruffin of Bronx, N.Y.; son, Dominique Ruffin of Newport News, Va.; granddaughter, Raigan Ruffin of Hampton, Va.; sister, Kim Ruffin-Allen of Petersburg, Va.; a niece, Latasha Ruffin of Petersburg, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends, amongst them devoted, Evon Briggs and Irene Price.

Services for Ms. Gloria Y. Ruffin will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va.; the Rev. Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin, pastor of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Petersburg, Va. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
