Harold King Obituary

Harold Joseph "Joby" King Jr., 46, of Waverly, passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009. Born in Newport News on July 1, 1963, he was the son of the late Harold Joseph King Sr. and Shelby Jean Williams King.

He is survived by his son, Harold Joseph "Joey" King III and Joey's mother, Tina King; four brothers, Stephen J. King (Helen) of Smithfield, Barry L. King (Glenda) of Maryland, Douglas A. King (Rebecca) of Nebraska, Keith W. King; stepfather, Harold Hodges (Helen) of Oklahoma,; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at 7 p.m. at the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield with visitation following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for Harold Joseph "Joey" King III c/o Eastern Virginia Bankshares, P.O. Box 47, Waverly, VA 23890. Condolences may be posted at www.jtmorriss.com
