Ms. Ida Bell Allen of 1631 Halifax St., Petersburg, entered eternal peace on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, after a period of declining health.

Ida was born Feb. 24, 1943, to the late Walter Dailey Sr. and Marie Robinson Dailey. She was baptized at an early age at Sharon Baptist Church, Petersburg (Dinwiddie). She was employed at Hill Phoenix, Colonial Heights.

Ida was predeceased by: her son, Robert Lee Allen Sr.; grandson, Lamont Gordon; father, Walter Dailey Sr.; mother, Marie Robinson Dailey; and a brother, Walter Dailey Jr.

Ida leaves to cherish her precious memories to: 11 children, Raymond Allen Jr. (Audrey) and Ricky Allen (Paula), both of Dinwiddie, Cynthia Battle (David) of Goldsboro, N.C., Michelle Moore (Kenny) of Baltimore, Md., Lisa Allen, Barbara Baker, James Allen, Kenneth Allen, Maurice Allen (Lewanda), Timothy Allen (Tracey) and Charles Allen (Mary), all of Petersburg,; one devoted sister, Willie Ann Tucker; a brother, James Dailey of Dinwiddie; 29 grandchildren, Shakeya Allen, Shanta Allen, Shaneka Allen, Taquisha Allen, Antonio Allen, Doniel Allen, Shaun Allen, Mario Allen, Antoine Allen, Keisha Allen, Terrell Allen, Marcel Allen, Crystal Allen, Ranishia Allen, Robert Lee Allen Jr., Dikey Lockhart, Crystal Allen, Kenneth Allen Jr., Ricky Allen Jr., Rishard Allen, Delmont Gholson, Naeem Whitfield, Kierra Gordon, Shaketa Mason, Chris Jarratt, Briantez Person, James Thomas, Chantel Reid, and Jasmine Mitchell; 38 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Paulette Allen of Dinwiddie; two aunts, Maggie Winfield (Ed) and Rosa Lee Davis (General) of Hudson, N.Y.; three devoted friends, Nancy Rives, Janet Newton and Frances Robinson; a devoted niece, Kathy Hunter; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and friends.

Ida will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving heart.

Services for Ms. Ida B. Allen will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Sharon Baptist Church, 26804 Fort Emory Road, Petersburg, the Rev. Dr. Herbert W. Anderson, pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at the funeral establishment.

Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble at 12:30 p.m. at the church.
