James Collins Obituary

A funeral service for Mr. James R. Collins, of 2302 Trenton St., Hopewell, who departed this life Thursday, Sept. 2. 2010, will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Friendship Baptist Church, Hopewell, with the Rev. Dr., Carl Johnson, pastor, officiating. The interment will be in the Mount Sinai Community Cemetery.

All family members are asked to assemble at the residence one hour prior to on the day of the service. All honorary and active pallbearers, and friends are asked to assemble at 12:15 p.m., at the church the day of the service.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell. The Rev. W. Nelson Bland, Jr., funeral director. www.blandenterprisesinc.com

It was always a pleasure visiting even if it was business related. James always had a smile when I brought you a calendar. He was more than just an insurance client. Although I have moved to another state. I still remember fondly. The sun shines on those who love the Lord, and James is basking at the beach now enjoying those rays.
