Janiyah Monee' Freeman

On Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, God called home one of his precious angels, Little Miss Janiyah Monee' Freeman. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Jimmie Lee Greene, great-great grandfather Frank J. Freeman and great-grandmother Mary E.S. Stith.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother, Ashley M. Freeman, grandmother, Jwatonda Freeman, great-grandmother, Brenda Bartley (Joseph), and great-grandfather, Leroy Jones (Wanda), all of Petersburg; two aunts, Shakeya Freeman and Josele Bartley, both of Petersburg; two uncles, Demonte Freeman of Harrisonburg, Pa., and Audwin Freeman of Petersburg; extended family, Monica Jerome and Jakayla Thompson of Petersburg; a host of other aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, two devoted Tierra and Erica Woodley, and Shaunita Freeman.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon, Friday, Jan. 15, at Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Jeffrey L. Dodson Sr. officiating. The family will assemble at 11 a.m. at 81 Henrico St., Petersburg, the day of the service. A viewing will be Thursday, Jan. 14, from 6–8 p.m. at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Petersburg.
