Jesse Tuck Obituary
On Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at the age of 74, God came and took a devoted husband, loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Jesse L. Tuck Sr., on the final length of life's journey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Floyd D. Tuck Sr. and Minnie Pearl Watson Tuck; three brothers, Floyd D. Tuck Jr., Melvin B. Tuck and Cecil L. Tuck; and two sisters, Helen M. Tuck Newcomb and Lois C. Tuck.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Elizabeth J. Tuck; and a sister, Joan Carolyn Hodges; children, Jesse L. Tuck Jr. and wife, Charlene, of Ellsworth, Wis., Clifford E. Tuck Sr. and wife, Shelly, of Matoaca, Va., Dianna Beth Tuck Dawson of Petersburg, Va., Theresa L. Patino and husband, Nufo, of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Bill Starks and wife, Betty, of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Joshua Mann (Jade), Jesse L. Tuck III, Thomas "Brandon" Stevens (Jerrica), Alexis A. Tuck, Clifford E. Tuck Jr., Ashley D. Dawson (Jamie), Scott Dawson Jr., Elizabeth "Libby" Phelps (Spencer) and Candace A. Phelps (Ryan); and great-granddaughter, Chloe Ann Lynn Johnson; and two very devoted friends/brothers, Mike Higgerson and Daryl Guy; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, and a devoted pet, Little Man.
A memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3512 Virginia St., Hopewell, Va., at 2 o'clock Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, with Daryl Guy performing the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
