John Russell Obituary

John Elden Russell Sr. passed away Jan. 11, 2011. He resided at 160 Singletree Drive, Hazel Green, Ala. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, and a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Forty and Eight. He is survived by his children, Sherry, John Jr. (Rusty), Windee, Brent, Tracy and their families.

A memorial service is being planned at the Forty and Eight Voiture 1012 in Huntsville, Ala., later this month. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the Nurses Training Program, Voiture Nationale Forty and Eight, 777 Meridian St., Indianapolis IN 46204.

I was an honor to have known your father. He was a valued member of the 40 and 8 and also an American hero for serving in 2 wars.
