John Joseph "Johnny" Keesler, 47, of Chesterfield, was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2013, after a car accident. He was born on Sept. 13, 1965, in Portsmouth, and is preceded in death by his father, Thomas James Keesler Sr.

Johnny loved life and lived each day to the fullest. An avid fisherman, he was often found aboard the fishing boat, Sally T.
Left to celebrate his life are: his soul mate, Paula Choiniere; children, David Choiniere, Toni Lynn Echols and husband, Charles, Brandy French and second father to Chauntel, and Kevin Taft; seven grandchildren; his mother, Evelyn Alcorn Keesler; a brother, Thomas James Keesler Jr. and wife, Maria; two sisters, Lisa Doughtie and husband, James, and Dawn Helton and husband, Kevin; a host of nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, with Father Lou Ruoff, celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at church.
