To The Davis Family,
I too share in your loss. Johnnie was a good friend and neighbor of mine for many years who was always willing to help others. His infectious laugh, inquisitive nature, and lively attitude will be greatly missed. At times like this try to be strong and always remember to keep your hand in the hand of that man from Galilee.
Rest well Johnnie. Your work here on earth is done. Move on up a little higher to dwell with God and his son.

To the family of Johnnie Davis,
I am so sorry for your lost. I knew a little about Johnnie even before I met him. He worked and was a dear friend of my wife Rose. The first thing I remember when I met you was your smile {justa beaming} and your gentle way of talking to people. We got to know each other more over the last few years and I remember in April 2008 when Rose told me that you went to the church next door and talked to Travis about Jesus Christ, I rejoiced and thanked GOD that day.
ECCLESIASTES Chapter 3 Verses 1-8 reminds me that life is precious and short and has a purpose. I thank my Saviour, Jesus Christ that he let me spend part of my life here with you and by HIS grace I will see you one day. Most of all Johnnie, THANK YOU for being YOU. I love you and I will miss you.
Your brother in Christ,
Richard

Well Johnnie Where do I start. You have been the one constant in my life and the lives of everyone that was fortunate to have met you. I guess I just took for granted that you would always be there for me but i guess sometimes things dont always work out like you want. My wish would be that I could always have you in my life. I hope you know how important you were and are to not only me but my whole family. I think I should have made you a Goodman since you seemed to care as much for my family as you did for yours.Yjou once told me after being gone from work for a few days that you would never leave me and I really dont know what i will do without you but I guess somebody needed you More.I truely feel sorry for those that never got to laugh with you and know your kind and giving nature but I Love you Johnnie and I will never forget you. To the Family,
I would like to express my gratitude for having known and worked with Johnnie. Johnnie was a steadfast, hard working compassinate individual. There was never any deceit in him; no falsehoods- only deep integrity and truth. Johnnie was a great listener and a great friend to anyone who might need his friendship. He was extremely generous with his talents and time and influenced more people than he could ever have realized. I am blessed to have known him.

To the family of 'Johnny'
We knew Johnny as our carpet installer. We always looked forward to his coming to our home, or to the houses we were building to do a job. He was the best. He always had a smile, talked about his family and how much they meant to him, and always did the best job possible. He was a joy to be around and he will be missed. We are so sad to hear of his parting but find comfort in knowing that one day we will see him in Heaven. Connie and Charles Felts

To the family of Johnnie Davis,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Johnnie at Colonial Interiors and he was a my true, dear friend. There are many things that I will miss. I miss the buzzer going off in the morning and afternoon before he came in to let me know that it was him, so he would'nt scare me. I missed his arm going up in the air to wave at me each day, I miss every Friday me telling him to call me is he needs me. I miss his smile and his laugh, but most of all I miss him. I miss him always carrying things for me and opening the doors for me because he was such a gentleman and a gentle soul. I miss our talks in the warehouse and in the office, our hugs and pats on the back, I miss your stories of long ago when you were a little boy and your life and your family. I guess I just miss you. I don't know if this lump in my throat or the ache in my heart will ever go away. God bless you Johnnie and may God keep you in his loving arms for all eternity. I love you!

I worked with Johnnie for close to 20 years. He was not just good at what he did but he was a good person. One of the few people in the flooring industry that I enjoyed working with. He was unselfish and always willing to help. I will miss him alot.......He won't be forgotten.

To Johnnie's mother and family,
My family and I are so sorry to hear about your loss. I have known Johnnie for over 25 years, since we were both young men. Johnnie was a good friend, very generous, too. He made us laugh. He was the best carpet mechanic I have ever known, never wanting to do a job unless he could do it right. I have seen him walk off the job if it wasn't being done up to his standards. From Johnnie I learned the value of taking pride in your work, no matter what it is. We will miss him coming over to the house for dinner, then sitting in the back yard and talking into the night. My wife loved to cook for Johnnie because he had such a hearty appetite!
God must have needed a new floor in Heaven. We will miss him.
