Joseph Michael Obituary
He was predeceased by his parents, John Henry Michael and Lalah Beason Michael, and children, Larry, Linda, and Lemuel Michael.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years and 1 week, Wanda June Michael; children, Reggie Michael and wife, Debi, Fred Michael and wife, Lisa, and Dee Cristobal; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Michael; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, William Michael.
Mr. Michael was a longtime, faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. Before retirement, he owned and operated Colonial Sewing Machines. Prior, he sold cars for several local dealerships. Joe had a close relationship with his Lord, Jesus Christ, having accepted Him as his Savior at an early age.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 620 Lafayette Ave., Colonial Heights, with memorial service following. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.

Your Mom and Dad raised three wonderful children that I know he was very proud of. I am thinking of you all and may God bless you during this difficult time. I also loved your father and will also miss him. I know you all have very fond memories of your father and that can never be taking away. (Reggie, I met you just recently at Kroger)

My Dear Grandpa,
Always smiling, laughing and full of hugs and kisses for us all. He will always live on in our hearts and will always be loved. Dear June and all of the family,
There are so many wonderful memories; our friendship goes back 45 years or so and of course, the family ties for twenty years. We are saddened for your loss for you all because you will miss Joe immensely but we rejoice that his suffering is over and he is walking on streets of gold and rejoicing with his Saviour!!
