Kenneth Lee Myrick peacefully entered eternal rest on March 15, 2013, at his residence. He was a Petersburg native, born to the late Kenneth and Henrietta Wynn Myrick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Savage Myrick.

He attended the Petersburg Public School System and served in the United States Army receiving an Honorable Discharge.
Kenneth was an active, faithful, lifetime member of First Baptist Church, serving in the Senior Choir, Male Chorus and supported many activities and ministries. Upon retirement he served as maintenance technician of the church. He was a charter member of the Modernaires that traveled extensively.
His work experience included Titmus Optical Company, Brown and Williams Tobacco Company where he retired. He enjoyed music, traveling and watching television.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Kevin L. Myrick Sr.; a friend of Kevin, Terri Ouque; two grandchildren, Nadezsha L. Myrick and Kevin L. Myrick Jr.; one sister, Beatrice M. Graves (John); nephew, Walter Aaron Graves; great-nephew, Bryan Graves; cousins, Molly Amado, Dora Amado, Mary Jordan, May Elizabeth Mason, Delores Scott, John Wynn, Sherman Wynn, Raymond Wynn and numerous other cousins, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 236 Harrison St., Petersburg, with Rev. Jeremiah Tillman, pastor, officiating. Interment to follow in the Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Petersburg.
