Leroy Talbott Obituary
He was the son of the late Ramey and Bessie Gaines Talbott, and the widower of Velma Gray Talbott. Mr. Talbott was a United States Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #284, and the owner of Talbott Texaco and Talbott Grocery Store.
He is survived by his sons, Leroy G. "Rick" Talbott Jr. of Colonial Heights and Christopher A. Talbott of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Stacy T. McKenzie of Middleton, Del., Victoria R. Talbott of St. Petersburg, Fla., Tyler Marie Talbott of Colonial Heights, and Johnathan and Jennifer Talbott, both of Phoenix; two brothers, Franklin D. Talbott of Petersburg and James W. Talbott of Colonial Heights; a sister, Carol Steele of Henrico.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, with the Rev. Mike Murray officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southside Virginia Emergency Crew, P.O. Box 574, Petersburg, VA 23803. Funeral arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
