Lloyd Stewart Obituary

Lloyd Addison Stewart Jr., 59, of Colonial Heights, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at McGuire Veterans Hospital.

He was the son of the late Lloyd A. Stewart Sr. Lloyd was a United States Army veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne during Vietnam. He was a past member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. Posts. He retired after 18 years of service as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Sherrie G. Stewart; children, Lloyd A. Stewart III, Heather N. Stewart, and John L. Stewart; stepchildren, Margarita N. Crumpler, Medea L. White, Jason E. Papagiacumos, Alexander D. Papagiacumos, Nikolas J. Papagiacumos, Demitra H. Papagiacumos, and Athena M. Papagiacumos; numerous grandchildren; his mother, Fanny Stewart; brothers, Gary L. Stewart, and James A. Stewart; sisters, Gail N. Stoveken, and Dawn Blackwell; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. The family will receive friends following the service until 4 p.m. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
