Mary West Obituary


Mary I. West, 76, of Petersburg Va., passed away on Nov. 5, 2010.

Mrs. West was the daughter of the late Abraham and Helen Stagg Doremus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. West Sr.; a son, William G. West; and a grandson, Mark A. Tucker.

Mrs. West is survived by seven children, Richard West Jr.(Diana), Daniel West, Vincent West (Sandra), Kathleen Tucker (John), George West (Linda), Irene Widmayer (Mark), Helen Munro (Lester); 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held later that day at 2 p.m. in Dinwiddie Memorial Park with Father Jon Jackson officiating. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
