Peggy Thore Obituary

Peggy M. Thore, 79, of Hopewell, Va., died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late John and Mildred Morris McDiarmid. Mrs. Thore was born in Hopewell and had been a life-long resident of the Tri-City area. She was a retired beautician.

Mrs. Thore is survived by her husband, George W. Thore of Petersburg; two sons, Donald Thore of Chester, Tracy Thore and his wife, Candi, of Waverly; a daughter, Janet Haase and her husband, Randall, of Petersburg; five grandchildren, Jason Haase and his wife, Rebecca, Maxwell Haase, all of Petersburg, Nichole Panagiotou and her wife, Liz, Cali DiCola and her husband, Anthony, all of Massachusetts, and Kristofer Haase and his wife, Alicia, of Chester; and a sister, Kay McDiarmid Thomas of North Carolina.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at 2 p.m. in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chesterfield County, Va. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com
