Robert Anderson Obituary

Robert C. Anderson, 80, of Prince George County, widower of Luzie A. Anderson, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009.

He was the son of the late Henry J. and Dora B. Long Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army for 23 years, seeing service in Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the Army he worked at the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier for 18 years.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey H. Anderson and wife, Mary Ellen, of Ettrick, Frank H. Anderson and wife, Heide, of Prince George County; granddaughter, Amanda Anderson of Prince George; brother, Lake Anderson of Colorado; sisters, Myrtle Mitchell of Roanoke and Lena Duncan of Salem, Va.; special friend, Hannelore Miles.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, in the Southlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Prince George Rescue Squad, 6602 Courts Drive, Prince George, VA 23875. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
