We want you all to know that we are so very sorry and deeply saddened to hear that Nonna is no longer with us. Everyone who has been blessed to get to know your family has known that Nonna was the rock that made the family what it is today. She carried with her such great wisdom and never hesitated to share that wisdom with anyone smart enough to listen. She loved her family absolutely unconditionally and she loved her friends like they were family. There is a lot to be gained from knowing such a great person. She showed everyone how possible it is to get through anything and come out on the other side. Even in death I know that she has come out on "the other side". And I think it is safe to say that those who made it to heaven before her are now enjoying the most awesome tasting Italian food they have ever had. I woudn't be surprised if she is at this very moment telling God himself to "Eat, Eat!" My family will always keep her memory alive and well as I know everyone whoever knew her will surely do also. In doing so, this wonderful person we all knew and loved will never "really" be gone. They say that God only "loans" us out and then he calls us home where we are meant to be forever. It doesn't seem fair but then when we realize what we would have missed if she hadn't been loaned to us. For me, it would have meant everything. I have three beautiful children who would have never been born without Nonna. I met my husband at her son's restaurant. It can't be put into words properly, who she was and all that she touched. A part of her will remain in all of us and I thank all of you for sharing her with all of us and in doing so allowing us to witness the human experience at its finest. We can only hope to be able to love each other as hard as she loved us. We Love You Nonna!

So very sorry for your loss. Nonna Rosa was a special lady and when she would come visit Josie in Poquoson she'd come by the restaurant and visit with us. She always asked about our grandbabies---I think all grandbabies really belonged to her! Later when Josie would go visit her in Chester she'd have a message from her for me and I'd send greetings back to her with Josie. There's a lot to be learned from our elders and I'm so thankful she had the love and respect of not only HER family, but from others too----as it should be.
All our love......Tony and Laura Favata

Ma,
What can I say to such a remarkable women who treated me just as if I was her own daughter. I'll never forget your story's you shared, your pasta teachings to me, your laughter..along with your jokes, and our fun shopping together. I always picked you up, as your car was always broke! HA! You created such a legacy of love, and my prayer is we will all continue on as a contribute to what you have taught us.
I want you to rest in peach knowing your baby boy Anthony will always eat!!
Those that knew her..knows what I am talking about. You have etched a canvas of love with in my soul, and for
that I am eternally greatful that you were my other mother. I will always love you, and hold dear to my heart my special memories with you. I LOVE YOU

Thank You so much for allowing me to be a part of your life. I wish we could have gotten the chance to spend more time together. I will always miss your beautiful smile and your loving embrace. I will always be reminded of you when I walk through Rosa's Pizza in Chester and remember the times you visited with Mimma and Aggie and would go grocery shopping. And, the first time I visited with Jenn at your home. I just had to ride in your chair, the joy that brought to you will always stay with me. You will be missed always! Love You Nonna.

Grandmother (NONNA), what is a grandmother? Nonna Rosa was. She was a grand lady in every sense. A grandmother who loved us all
unconditionally no matter our faults. A lady who was always there for us. She was kind, loving, caring and funny. Always teaching, always worrying no matter our age, always laughing, always helping, always advising, always sharing a joke, That was my nonna.. I will ALWAYS love her. I will always miss her. Rest in peace nonna.. As Fran said "come see me in my dreams". love you nonna,
