Syritta Cooper Obituary

Mrs. Syritta Collins Cooper, age 25, of 600 Winston Church Hill Drive, Apt. 7A, Hopewell, entered into eternal rest Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at VCU Medical College of Virginia, Richmond.

A native of Hopewell, she was born Dec. 1, 1983. She worked at McDonald's until her declining health.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a loving and devoted husband, Philando Maurice Cooper; a son, Maurice Supreme Cooper; her mother, Lavern Wheeler; her stepfather, Ben James Wheeler; two brothers, Michael and Algin Collins; nine stepbrothers and sisters, James Wheeler, Carrie Wheeler, Shawntay Wheeler, Chris Wheeler, Eric Wheeler, Lisa Jones, Rose Jones, Donald Jones and Greg Wilkerson; two grandmothers, Florence Collins and Emily Graves; her grandfather, James Robert Collins; mother-lin-law, Ardel Cooper; father-in-law, Kirby Cooper; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A service of love and remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at the Chapel of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell, with the Rev. William Roberts, pastor of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Hopewell, officiating. The family will assemble at the residence of her mother at 2309 Freeman St., Hopewell, one hour prior to the service.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell, the Rev. William N. Bland Jr., funeral director. Please send online condolences to www.blandenterprisesinc.com.
