She started her most successful hair stylist career at Scissors Unique and worked for 21 years as a master stylist at JC Penney Beauty Salon, Southpark Mall, Colonial Heights, Va., prior to achieving her career dream of owning her own successful salon. She loved animals and was making her home on her grandparent's Griffin Farm with many loveable creatures. She was a lifelong member of Gary's United Methodist Church. Cherishing so many special memories of a loving daughter are her parents, Brenda Griffin Dingas and Thomas George Dingas of Prince George; and of a loving sister, Tracey Dingas Allen and husband Andrew Lee Allen of Colonial Heights, and Teresa Dingas Williams and husband Christopher Jason Williams of Chesapeake, Va.; and the loves of her life, nieces and nephew, Griffin Delaney Williams, Wyatt Lee Allen and Clara James Williams. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Frances Sanford Dingas of Prince George; aunt, Mary Etta Griffin Kanusek of Disputanta; and uncle, Larry Douglas Dingas of Prince George. Tammie was loved and will always be remembered by her special Callis and Dingas cousins and a multitude of close friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alpha Omega Callis Griffin and Patrick Snow Griffin; paternal grandfather, George Dingas; and uncle, Michael Wayne Dingas.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with the Reverend Henry Butler officiating.
