God wanted an angel to dwell with him in a perfect resting place, so he chose one his best. We dare not question his will, for he knows best for us. On Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, our beloved, Thomas Odell Adams Sr., entered into eternal rest and peace at Henrico Doctors Hospital, Richmond, Va.

He was born Aug. 17, 1947, to the late Virgie Lee and Wilbert Adams. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Cordell Hall.
Thomas was a member of the Eleven Oaks Baptist Church, DeWitt, Va. He worked for Kraft Nabisco for 27 years, which he retired from in 2002.
Left to treasure a legacy of precious memories, his wife, Deborah Adams of Richmond; a son, Thomas O. Adams Jr. (Onya) of McKenney; one stepdaughter, Gayle Barnes; and a stepgrandson, Deon Barnes of Powahatan; three sisters, Joyce Malone (Archie), Mary Lee Drumgoole (Leon), Jenny Adams (Paul); one brother, Randolph Adams (Jackie), all of McKenney; a brother-in-law, Sherwood Green; a host of nieces, nephews, and numerous friends, among them devoted, Regina Adams, Jimmy Mitchell, Robert Crump.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at the Eleven Oaks Baptist Church, DeWitt, with Pastor Sherman Sprately officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
