I just heard about the passing of my dear friend Tiny. We grew up together and I lost contact with her when I moved out of state. My prayers to her family during this time of bereavement. I'm sorry I was not able to travel to Virginia in time to be their for the funeral. God Bless you.

Kisses from the Wind and Rain
When the walk of our loved ones is over,
When they will no longer walk through the door,
We try to find solace and comfort,
And time here with them we want more.
In friends and in family we find comfort,
As the days and the nights they do blend,
Around us things seem to be moving,
At a pace we cannot comprehend.
Seeking peace in the life that is around us,
As we look for the perfect solace place,
It is in the wind and the water of this earth my dears,
Where their kisses gently caress your face.
You see, both are forces of nature,
Which have been here from the beginning of time,
A bit of the past steeped deep within them,
Our ancestors through them do shine.
As we remember the lives of our loved ones,
And the kisses from the wind and the rain,
How they were washed and kissed to contentment,
Through the same we can also ease our pain.
So as we slowly get back to our day to day,
Doing the things that we usually do,
Let the ancestors that live in the wind and the rain,
Bring kisses of comfort as they wash over you.
To the family of Tiny I offer my prayers for God's comfort and grace.
