Mr. Toran Maryel Waller, 23, of 503 Harrow Road, Richmond, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, Oct. 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born March 7, 1990, in Petersburg.

He attended the Matoaca school system, and also, L.C. Byrd High School.
At an early age, he accepted Christ and was baptized at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Petersburg. He was presently employed by the Verizon Company.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Chrisitne Waller, Primas Smith, Willie Gilyard, and Mozelle Gilyard.
He is survived by: his loving mother and father, Linda Waller of Richmond and Albert Gilyard, Sr.; a son, Toren Waller Jr.; a brother, Terence Waller of North Chesterfield, and Albert Gilyard Jr. of South Carolina; aunts, Irene Waller, Doretha Waller, Fannie Faulckner, all of South Boston, Olla Lee Gilyard, and Lee Lee Gilyard, all of Clarksville, S.C.; and an uncle, Gene Gilyard of South Carolina; a godmother, Wanda Allan; devoted friends of the family, Jeffrey Lellebe, Gracie Brown Lyons, Barbara Urquhart, Audrey Finney; a host a cousins; other relatives; and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Petersburg, with the pastor, the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at the funeral home. The family will assemble on the day of the service at 10:15 a.m. at the chapel for the procession.
