Verline Henderson Obituary

Ms. Verline R. Henderson, of Ettrick, died suddenly Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at her residence.

She was a native of Amelia County, and was the daughter of the late Rev. James and Fannie Henderson. She was a former teacher at A.P. Hill Middle School, Petersburg.

She is survived by one son, Anthony Henderson of the home; one sister; three brothers; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, from Second Antioch Church, Powhatan, Va. Interment church cemetery.

Remains rest at Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home, Route 360 East, Amelia, (804) 561-5500, Hawkesfh.com.

I met you and your mother at the old Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, when you were a very small child. I remember all of the conversations that we had trying to uplift each other.
