If I Could
By Counselor Britt-CEC

If I could take the pain away I would;
But how could I have known.
Your smile was so delightful
And your confidence so bold.

If I could make the doubt in your heart melt into asurity.
I would take the sorrow from your eyes and replace it with mounds of security.

But I can't

You are gone and I am left weeping of what could have been.
And wishing I could protect from what has come.
But we know the things of life and death can never be undone.

Life was but a whisper but it was not in vain.
Although you didn't live long you were worth it just the same.
