Walter White Obituary

Mr. Walter White, 77, of 1416 Peterson Mill Road, Hopewell, departed this life on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at the Golden Living Center.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1933, to the late James Lee White and Bertha Channey, and attended the Halifax County Public School System. Mr. White was employed by Whitney Roofing for many years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pearl Ragsdale, and brother, Willie Lee White.

Left to cherish his memories are: a devoted nephew, Daryl Wilson; one sister, Beatrice Wilson; devoted friend, Inger White; and a host of several other relatives and friends. A special thanks goes out to his caretaker, Michelle, and the staff members of the Golden Living Center.

A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, from the Chapel of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell. The Rev. Robert L. Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Sinai Community Cemetery, Prince George.

Arrangements entrusted to the staff of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell, the Rev. William N. BlandJr., funeral director.
