WILLIAM M. RUFFIN JR. Obituary
William McKinley "Bill" Ruffin, Jr., 42 of 14100 Arwood Rd., Disputanta, VA died suddenly on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 19, 1976 to Mr. William McKinley and Dorothy Ruffin.

At an early age, he confessed Christ as his Savior and was baptized and was a loyal member of Loving Union Baptist Church, Disputanta, VA where he served faithfully.

Bill was previously employed with the ABC Learning Center as a cook. He also worked at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA and Richard Bland College, Prince George, VA. Bill was the custodian for Loving Union Baptist Church for the past 5 years and loved working in the kitchen and with the Hospitality Ministry. Bill had a joy for cooking. He loved to cook and grill for his family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Essie Ruffin, Garfield and Martha Jefferson and his brother, Charlie Garfield Ruffin.

Bill leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Misty Ruffin; loving parents, William McKinley Sr. and Dorothy Ruffin; daughter, Jaliyah Ruffin; sister, Bonita Burton (Charles); brother, Calvin Allen; sister/cousin, Robin Hill; aunts and uncles, Edward Ruffin (Mary F.), Charlie Ruffin (Mary J.), Mildred R. Bowman, George Jefferson (Louise) and Caroline Key; a special nephew who was the joy of his heart, Terrence McKinley Burton who he loved attending his football and basketball games and was his Number 1 fan; a host of loving cousins, among them devoted, Rayfield Vines III, Dion Goodwyn and Andre Bugg. Other relatives include his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Candy Collins II, brother-in-law, Robert Collins III and grandmother, Betty Burns.

Celebration of Love service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Loving Union Baptist Church16750 Loving Union Rd, Rev. Dr. Sylvia Tucker, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at church cemetery.
