Xavier Morgan Obituary

The Rev. Xavier Manuel (Bemoe) Morgan, son of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Morgan, receded to eternal life on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at the Hampton Veterans Hospital at approximately 1 a.m.

Xavier was reared in Wakefield, Va., and attended faithfully Pocahontas Church. He graduated from the Sussex County School System. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force and began his study in computer science. He became employed in both the state and private sector for a number of years.

Xavier was a gifted singer and soloist performing with various groups. One particular group which he so admired, The Voice of Elite. They were not only singers but a family. For better employment opportunities, Xavier relocated to Maryland where he accepted a position with the Maryland Attorney General's Office until his medical retirement. He then moved to the Newport News area to be near family. He united with the Colossians Baptist Church family and later answered the call to ministry. God's infallible word was forever in his heart as he studied privately and corporately, earning a master's degree in theological studies. Xavier relocated to Atlanta in most recent years and continued in his calling while attending Bethel Church until his health declined.
