Zaniyah Vaughan-Singleton Obituary

Baby Zaniyah Shanea Vaughan-Singleton returned to Our Father in Heaven on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009.

Zaniyah was a gift from God to her mother, Winter Vaughan, and father, Harley Singleton. She was born on Oct. 4, 2009, in Petersburg, Va.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, William Vaughan.

Besides her parents, Zaniyah leaves to cherish her memory, two siblings, Zykia Vaughan and Trevante Vaughan-Singleton; maternal grandparents, Juanita Switzer and Anthony Scott; paternal grandparents, Robin Jackson; great-grandparents Essie Vaughan and Joyce Dabney; great-great-grandparents, Belinda Matthews and Ernest Moore; uncle and aunts, Antonio Vaughan, Thomas Singleton, Eric Singleton, Marcus Singleton, Maurice Singleton, Tiana Taylor (Darnell), Samantha Singleton, Danielle Simmons (James), and Dominique Singleton; a host of other relatives and friends.

Zaniyah gave us a lifetime of love during her short time on earth and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 2223 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Va., with the Rev. Jeffrey L. Reaves Sr., senior pastor, officiating. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 843 S. Jones St., Petersburg, Va., and may be contacted by calling (804) 516-7614.
