Linda N. Houchins, 63, of Chesterfield, departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lacy and Ella Newcomb; and sister, Barbara Newcomb.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, David L. Houchins Sr.; sons, David L. Houchins Jr. (Amanda), and Christopher M. Houchins (Mendi); three grandsons, Luke, Dylan and Kane; brother, Donald Newcomb (Judy); sister, Dale Seay (Ed); five nieces, Cheri, Tracey, Ginny, Samantha and Sydney; and sisters-in-law, Barbara, June and Kay.
Mrs. Houchins retired from Chesterfield Primary Health Care with 25 years of service. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (today) at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where a funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, followed by interment at Dale Memorial Park.
