Mr. Ronald Brown, affectionately known as "Kindergarten Cop" or "Nose," of 1676 S. Sycamore St., Apartment 3, Petersburg, entered his Father's resting place on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Mr. Brown was born on May 4, 1957, to Charles L. and Doretha M. Brown.

Ronald volunteered for over 20 years with the Petersburg City Public School System as a coordinator of the drill team and in-school suspension groups. He was loved dearly by many of the Petersburg school children.
Mr. Brown was a former correctional officer for the Commonwealth of Virginia until declining health. He received numerous awards from the Petersburg City Public School division which included: 2011 Volunteer of the Year Award from the Rotary Club of Petersburg and Volunteerism Service Award from former Governor Timothy Kaine. He was a member of Third Baptist Church, Petersburg.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles L. Brown; twin brother, Donald Brown; and brother, Charles Brown.
He is survived by his loving mother, Doretha M. Brown; loving and devoted son, Antonio Crenshaw of Colonial Heights; three loving grandchildren, Antonio Crenshaw Jr., KaJuan Crenshaw and Armaneé Hawkins; two loving sisters, Carolyn Brown and Sandranette Brown, both of Petersburg; three loving brothers, Malcolm Robertson and Milton Brown of Petersburg, and Kelvin Brown (Georgia) of Matoaca; three loving aunts, Delores B. Pender, Jean B. Gee and Gloria B. Phillips (Albert); an uncle, Deacon Willie Brown (Willie Mae); devoted niece and nephews Jai'da Brown, Toddaryl Brown and Kelvin Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; among them several devoted friends, the Walnut Hill Elementary School family, the Rev. Brenda Cherry, Kenneth White, the Parham family and Wanda Henderson.
A funeral service for Mr. Ronald Brown will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2013, at Third Baptist Church, 550 Farmer St., Petersburg, the Rev. Leroy Cherry, pastor, and the Rev. Brenda Cherry, associate minister, eulogist. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
