On Sunday, June 16, 2013, God in his infinite wisdom summoned home our beloved one, Burton "BT" Revish of Petersburg. Burton was born on March 24, 1984, in Baton Rouge, La., and moved to Petersburg at a young age. He attended the Petersburg Public Schools System and received a general education degree.

Burton was preceded in death by: his sister, Latasha M. Smith; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Revish Sr.; maternal grandfathers, James Williams and William H. Uzzle Sr.; two uncles, Russell Revish and William H. Uzzle Jr.; two aunts, Ozenetta Revish-Bowman, and Patricia Uzzle; and a cousin, Jeremy A. Uzzle.
Burton was a kind and caring individual that was always willing to help someone in need.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Kanari Jones of Petersburg; mother, Loretta Lucas (Clyde), Petersburg; father, Willie Revish Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn.; maternal grandmother, Lucille Beasley (Joe); seven brothers, Will Phelps, Willie Baines, Brian Revish (Monique), Willie Revish, Dontay Revish, Merton Revish, and Mario Crawley; three sisters, Latricia Smith, Tileana Edmonds (Andrew), and Kenisha Taylor (Calvin); four uncles, Virgil Revish, (Katie), Ronald Revish, George Uzzle (Velma), and Lee Beasley; 11 aunts, Izon Revish-Murphy, Stacey Revish-Gold (Jeff), Betty J. Price, Darline Uzzle, Lelia Harrington, Mary Stevens (Carl), Verlene Tucker (Horace), Valeria Beasley, Polly Harrison (Edward), Beverly Greene, and Katonda Harrison; nine nieces; and 13 nephews; two devoted sisters, Latricia Smith and Tileana Edmonds; devoted lifelong friend, Toshumbi "Jamie" Jones; devoted cousins, Deborra Hill, Traeon Hill, Joshua Beasley, and Reshean Uzzle and a host of cousins; other relatives; and lifelong friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 418 Halifax St., Petersburg, the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs Sr., pastor, and the Rev. Alton Morton, of the Power House Church of Deliverance, Waverly, eulogist. Interment to follow in the Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble at 11:30 a.m. at the church.
