Gwendolyn Justice Cosslett, 81, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Thomas W. and Alma Caricofe Justice; son, Mark Cosslett; daughter, Ellen Cosslett.

Gwendolyn retired from John Randolph Hospital and nursing home after 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and volunteered with Crater Community Hospice.
She enjoyed crafting which included crocheting, knitting, and basket making. She also loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by: her husband, Carl Cosslett; daughters, Karen Popham Scott, Debra Popham Echols, Brenda Popham Contreras and husband, Fernando; daughter-in-law, Leslie Warren Cosslett; grandchildren, April, Monica, Matthew, Amanda, Sara, Kendall, Christopher, Tristan, Jonathan, David, Trevor, Meghan, Ricky, Alex; great-grandchildren, Greyson, Carmen, Gretchen, Oliver, Adaline; brothers, TW Justice Jr., Phillip Justice, Craig Townsend; numerous nieces; nephews; and other family; and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 6600 Greenyard Road, Chester, with a visitation to follow until 8 p.m. Interment will be private.
