Jack Antonio Charles Jr., known as "Spanky," born May 17, 1979, age 34, of Colonial Heights, Va., departed this life suddenly Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Va.

He was the son of the late Dorothy M. Charles and Jack Charles Sr. He was preceded in death by his daughter, T'Niyah Wallace.

Left to cherish his memories are: his children, Dakayla Stokes of Maryland, Ty'Kii Wallace, T'Zion Wallace, Tor'Riyohn Wallace, Tahje Wallace, all of Chester, Janae Walker, Jeremiah Mason, Za' Marion Mason of Hopewell, Desiree Sanderson and Destiny Charles-Sanderson of Chesterfield; his grandfather, Alfred White; three brothers, Dennis Williams, Andre Taylor and Garner Charles; three sisters, Danyell Taylor-Sanderson, Brianna Charles and Angelica Taylor; six nieces, Kionna Jones, Jada Taylor, Asa Sanderson, Jayla Charles-McLaughlin, JaNiyah Charles-Rollie and Alauna Byrd; five nephews, Alvin Taylor, Andre Taylor Jr., Darrick Holmes and the Williams twins; host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, among them devoted, his girlfriend, Candace Wallace, and good friends, Ricky "Smurf" Taylor, Alfred "Romeo" Taylor III, Charles "Binky" Wallace Jr., Tanya Patterson, Tamika Rhodes, Betty Ann Monroe, Elizabeth and John Merritt, and Billy Charles.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at the chapel of William N. Bland & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg. The Rev. Calvin Lewis, pastor of Harrison Grove Baptist Church, Prince George, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mount Sinai Community Cemetery, Prince George.
