Mrs. Daisie P. Madison, 96, formerly of Baltimore, departed this life on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, in Henrico County. She was born May 22, 1917, to the late Sandy Tucker and the late Amy T. Pegram in Carson. She attend public schools in the Dinwiddie County Public School System and was a graduate of the Dinwiddie High School, class of 1937. She remained in Carson helping her parents on their farm until she married her first husband, the late John Pegram. She moved to Baltimore, Md., and successful began a career as an insurance agent, where she also retired from.

Later in life, she married Haywood Madison and upon his passing, she moved back home to Virginia.
She was a member of the Little Zion Baptist Church, Carson, where she would attend whenever she came down to visit family. She enjoyed dancing, attending shows, and enjoying the simple things in life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a brother, Joseph W. Pegram of Santa Monica, Calif.; a stepson, Dwight Madison of Maryland; foster sister, Barbara Graves of Carson; a dear friend, Gwendolyn Bolling of Baltimore; a devoted caretaker, Babara and Christopher Lewis, and Veronica Graves; sisters- and brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; friends, and the Greenfield Assistant Living family.
Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of Johnson Funeral Homes, with the Rev. D. Tyrone Brandon Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
