Mr. Nathaniel Myrick, 64, affectionately known as "Mickey," entered eternal rest Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at John Randolph Medical Center, Hopewell, after battling a brief illness. He was born April 16, 1949, in Prince George to the late Bessie R. and Raymond Myrick.

Nathaniel attended the Prince George Public School System. He retired from VDOT with 38 dedicated years of service and was a driver for Harvell Truck Company.
He leaves to treasure his memories: a devoted wife of 30 years, the Rev. Nellie B. Myrick of Prince George; one son, Montrese Myrick of Dinwiddie; two daughters, LaGuamya Wooden(Michael Simpson) of Stony Creek and Priscilla Myrick of Prince George; five grandchildren; two goddaughters, Marie Llyons of Petersburg and Theresa Shearin; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; and dear friends too numerous to mention, but loved them all to include devoted friends, William Goode Jr., of Stony Creek and John Mason; two devoted cousins, Jerome Myrick of Dinwiddie and Carolyn Purnell of Michigan.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at the chapel of William N. Bland & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg, the Rev. Dennis Blanding, pastor of Baptist Temple, will officiate. The family will assemble at 11 a.m. at 18290 Sussex Drive, Stony Creek, the day of service and contacted at 434-246-7095.
