Mrs. Margaret P. Scott, 58, of 302 N. 7th Ave., Hopewell. entered eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at her home surrounded by family. She was born to the late Corrine Ellen and Herman G. Brown on Dec. 5, 1955.

Margaret was educated in the Chesterfield and Prince George school systems. She worked at the Hardee's in Hopewell and Riverview on the Appomattox.

She was a force to be reckoned with enjoying life, cooking and fishing with her children. Throughout her years she always maintained and handed out smiles by the dozen. Through her food, funny conversations, words of wisdom, and ear-to-ear smile. you knew her as the" Little blond haired lady from Hardee's," "silly Ms. Margaret" from McDonald's or the "Loud little lady" from Riverview at the Appomattox. Whenever you met her you were going to be blessed by the presence of a phenomenal woman.

Margaret was a daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, friend, and she took all of those titles seriously, but the title she was strongly devoted to was mother. So from the hearts of the children, Leroy Brown and Dawn Scott, we love you and you will always be a part of us. Rest in Paradise Momma.

She leaves to cherish her memories; son, Leroy A. Brown (Brandy) of South Chesterfield; daughter, Dawn Monick Scott of Hopewell; two brothers, Herman G. Brown Jr. "June" and David S. Brown (Hope), both of Prince George; two sisters, Lottie M Brown Jones (Albert) of Chesterfield and Betty A. Brown Guy (Jerry) of Columbus, Ga; two grandchildren, Brittany and Dylan Speller of South Chesterfield; host of other relatives and friends.

A service of love and remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell; Apostle Albert Jones, Holy Temple of God, Richmond, Va. A wake service will be held 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at the Hopewell chapel.
