Elizabeth Mae McDaniel, 62, of Waverly, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Mildred Aultman Lewis. Elizabeth had been an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1974.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph B. McDaniel Jr.; children, Michelle D. Van Sciver and her husband, Thomas, William McDaniel, Teresa R. Perkinson and her husband, Joe; grandchildren, Victoria A. Dempsey, Robert D. Dempsey, Whitney D. Dempsey; great-granddaughter, Veronica Skye; sisters, Sherry L. Lowe and her husband, Jack, Tracy L. Leary and her husband, Ben; aunts, Helen Goode and her husband, David, Ettie Bell Petree, Lillian Emerson; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 13301 Harrowgate Road, Chester, VA 23831. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jehovah's Witnesses, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
